Pool Time

On our second or third day we realized that Trav's camera could go under water. We then spent much of the afternoon trying to take pictures and movies. Hope you enjoy!

Take a guess at what Travis is.

A day around the resort

These are just pictures of Trav and I around the resort and beach as we were walking around.

French Romance

The next night for dinner we went to a French restaurant. The food and service again were fantastic!!! Trav and I had a great time. After dinner we danced in the plaza as a musician played really romantic music.

Breakfast and the Pool

We ate a delicious breakfast and then laid at the beach for most of the morning, but soon we were ready to relax by the lazy river pool. We had a great time just relaxing and not a care in the world (you will see a lot of relaxing).

By the beach

We had a few hours before we wanted to go to dinner so we decided to head down to the beach to relax and read our book together. It was so beautiful and the temperature was perfect. The sand was extremely clean and for the most part the beach was fairly empty. We just laid listening to each other read and relaxing.

Enjoying every minute!

I am very happy!

First Dinner with Mama Wanna

Our first dinner we went to a the Seaside Grill. It was so much fun because Trav, who can speak Spanish, becomes an instant favorite of all the servers. Soon we had Jaquelin and Richard doting over us. We were able to talk to them a lot about their family and what is good at the resort. They recommended great food and soon we were full and very happy. Then Jaquelin brought out the island drink Mama Wanna. Apparently it is made with a tree root and is known for it's Viagra affect. Travis taught me a little Spanish that I could use to describe the drink and it made all of us laugh listening to my ridiculous Spanish and the humor of it. He taught me to say, "Strong, hard, penis all night long with Mama Wanna." It was an on going joke throughout the rest of the trip. Trav and I also noticed that they LOVE to say excellente and give you a high five. Also if they are talking about something strong they make a fist with a bent elbow and slightly shake it. Trav and I laughed all night long!

Us right after we tried the drink. I am all smiles and as you can see Travis is not enjoying the experience quite as much:)

Landing in the DR

After a day of traveling we made it to the Dominican Republic! It was hot and nice to be at our destination. After getting our bags we met up with our ride and were soon headed to our hotel. The service was amazing. Right when we got there we were met at the door and offered cool cloths and champagne. A bellboy took our luggage and they drove up to our room. It was all that we had hoped for and as you can imagine Travis felt like he was in a royal palace :) It was so nice to see him so happy, he deserves every bit of it. We hadn't eaten lunch so after we explored every inch of our room we called for room service! Trav ordered A LOT!!!! Pizza, hamburger, cheese plate, sushi and whatever else looked good.

After we ordered all the room service Travis insisted we change into our bathing suits which led to trying out the bed. Well we were told 45 minutes for the food to arrive and 20 minutes later we get a knock on the door. Well I was dressed from the waist up so I thought it wise just to sit in bed and wait for the delivery man to leave. Well in the excitement Trav grabs the camera and asked the man to take our picture. Not just any picture Travis then insist I get out of bed and stand by the food. I smile and make some lame comment about not wanting to leave the comfort of this cozy bed, with the delivery man looking at me like I am crazy. To say the least it was a very awkward picture having the man take our picture while we sat in bed, but this is how memories are made.

Travis didn't waste anytime getting into our minibar:) Here is to Presidente the only beer they believe in :)

Houston and beyond

Travis and I drove down to Houston Saturday afternoon. We mostly read the second book together in a three part serious called "The Hunger Games." We read through the first book in the few days in Polk. The trip down defiantly showed us we were used to living without the other. At the time I don't think we thought it was funny, but looking back we can laugh. Travis was mad because I wasn't communicating my thoughts, and I couldn't believe the results of Travis living in "Man world," as I like to call it. Luckily with lots of time suck in the car we were able to really talk and learn about the new us. Once we got to Houston we got to our hotel checked in and then went to dinner at a sushi restaurant. It is so funny to watch Travis. He is naturally and extremely above average happy person and being back in the USA he has learned to love the smallest things. He kept telling me how wonderful all the paved roads were, how amazing all the food was, how nice it was to hold me and etc.

Trav and I on the the plan to the Dominican Republic early the next morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The beginning

Travis and I had no plans for the first few days and so we spent a lot of time just relaxing in the house, eating, reading and enjoying being a family again. Charlie, Henry and Watson were all so excited to have Travis home!!!!
This is of Travis coming home and all the animals seeing him! You can see how excited they are! Even Watson on the far right is very interested.

Airport Pick Up

This is Travis and I at the airport right after I picked up him. I can honestly say it is the best part of my year so far! It was great seeing Trav after eight months of being apart! This starts the beginning of the next amazing 15 days together.
