Tummy time!

I am happy and sad to say that today my little girl turns eight weeks old.  I wish I could slow down time! However I am really enjoying watching her discover the world around her.  She is smiling more and loves playing games.  She is really starting to enjoy more time by herself playing and looking at objects.  Within the last two weeks she has learned that she can move her arms and hit the animals on her play mat.  It isn't very smooth but you see her figuring it out.  She has started to hate tummy time because it greatly limits what she can see, but I put a mirror in front of her and that helps a bit. 

She is getting stronger every day and now I can prop her on the couch for a little while.  She loves to try and stand on her feet and is able to hold her body weight but only for a little bit. Travis and I enjoy having her dance to music and I think Evie likes it to.  I have never seen a baby love music as much as Evie.  If she is fussy or irritable I just sing or put some soothing music on and she just calms down 90% of the time and listens. 

Her two month appointment is this week and I can't wait to see how much she has grown.
