Travis meeting the team
Travis has joined an Army intramural soccer team. Last Wednesday was his first practice. Travis met the team and practice began. It was a lot of fun to watch and I was very glad I brought the extra blanket because it was sooo cold!! After practice we went to church for the Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University class. We have loved being in the class and making budgets and saving for our 3-6 month emergency fund!
Ahh Intramural sports, a hallmark of the US Army! It always seemed to me that the units that did not have "lots" to do work wise were always the ones who did very well in intramurals. I figured they had much more time to practice. Of course when my company won the post softball tournament (I did not play on the team) I changed my mind!
ReplyDeleteI know that Travis will split his time between the "office" and the pitch well.
Perhaps we'll see you on the field sometime, although I don;t have time to play myself right now, I do enjoy soccer!
